Left to stand mixes high level circus skills, spoken word, theatre and original music. It is a physical journey that celebrates the human struggle to find stability, sense of belonging and happiness.
The stage becomes a prop, a physical apparatus where every action has consequences on the others, creating a high level of tension and suspense within the auditorium. Relationships are heightened to the limit. Nothing is to be taken for granted, everything can shift at all times. The fragility of this exciting micro-world works as strong metaphor of the human day to day struggle to find balance in all things.
Left to stand has received support from The National Centre for Circus Arts’s through the Lab:Time program as well as the Albany Theatre for it’s first stages.
